Arno SUZUKI, a.k.a. Doodlin' is a part-time vocal performer who loves vocalise, improvisation and Big band music. She sang semi-professionally in California, USA, for 1998-2001 as ARNO SUZUKI for Jazz big bands, and as AZCAR or ARNITA for Salsa bands. She was also one of the first members of ARC Vocal Jazz Ensemble under direction of Dr.Art LaPierre.

Arno studied Jazz at American River College and commercial music at Sacramento City College, and graduated from both programs with honors. She privately studied Jazz voice under Ms.Shelley Burns in USA and Ms.Yuki Saga in Japan. She also studied classical voice under Mr.Daniel Elias in USA and Ms.Tomoko Isoshima in Japan. She studied music theory and arrangement under Mr.Rob Knable, Mr.Aaron Garner and Dr. Joe Gilman.

Back in 1970's Arno was one of the soloists for the girls choir for Crown Record Co. ltd., and experienced recordings, television, radio, and musical theaters. In 1980's, Arno recorded techno-pop music. She appeared on radio and TV a little, but soon become fogotten and got a different job. In 1990's, she went to USA, studied music and actively performed again.

Arno won the Kobe Jazz Street Award in the 9th Kobe Jazz Vocal Queen Contest under her new name DOODLIN' in May 2008, and performed at Kobe Jazz Street. She is not performing JAZZ much recently other than entering in KJVQC, but may appear in jam sessions somewhere on the earth. 

Arno is now playing drums and sing Kawachi-ondo, or improvised folklore dance music from south-east Osaka, Japan. She is a member of Teppo Hikaru Group, under the legacy of the legendary Teppo Mitsusaburo.
